Tammy’s culinary journey began in 2004, when she decided to follow her passion into the culinary world. In 2005, starting her own company, The Green Kitchen, she began offering catering services for small dinner parties. In 2007, she found she had a love for teaching others and sharing her passion for cooking while conducting classes at SurLaTable, all while attending and graduating with honors from the culinary program at J. Sargeant Reynolds in 2009. This led to a management role of the culinary program at SurLaTable from 2009-2012.
Her culinary resume now includes personal chef, where she is able to mesh her creativity with her clients’ individual needs.
And she can be found catering events from birthday parties to wedding receptions to thoughtful memorial services throughout the Richmond area from 2-200.
Be sure to check out her website at www.greenkitchenrichmond.com for client testimonials and fabulous pictures. And you can find The Green Kitchen on Facebook and be sure to follow her on Instagram greenkitchenrva, and YouTube @thegreenkitchen9625

TESTIMONIALS
“Having a top home chef like Tammy has improved my quality of life, as well as that of my family. We all eat healthier and enjoy gourmet meals in the comfort of our home. Tammy and her services have truly become an integral part of my family’s day to day lives. I would highly recommend her services to anyone!
“Creativity, knowledge, caring & can-do attitude and fun: that’s what you can expect when you hire Chef Tammy. I’ve worked with Tammy on many projects over many years and I’m always impressed with how easy it is to work with her and results are always beyond my expectations (and I’m a type A, picky customer). On several occasions, I’ve hired her as a cooking class instructor for me and my friends for some interesting themes with my favorites being When Pigs Fly (every course was pork based from appetizer to dessert..yes even dessert!) and Let’s Go Fishin’ (in which Tammy was so flexible she adjusted a recipe based on what my husband caught on the Chesapeake Bay that day). But she isn’t just engaging with adults. She has conducted personal cooking lessons with my young nieces and I was astounded at how quickly and completely she instilled the joy of cooking and her knowledge in them. When my husband’s sister asked us to host her wedding at our home, it was a quick and unanimous decision to ask Chef Tammy to cater the reception. It is delightful and amazing to work with someone who has a can-do attitude and cares that your event (dinner party, wedding, cooking class or even just a few days of ready to go home cooked meals) is the best possible and values your input but handles the details but so you can relax and enjoy the event. The wedding reception was perfect even handling a family that was part meat lover and part vegetarian. Food was innovative, DELICIOUS, perfectly timed and presented. No matter your need, Chef Tammy is THE choice” — Karla Scanlan
