Happy Thursday from The Green Kitchen!

What beautiful weather these last 2 days! Hopefully you were able to take advantage of it and enjoy some time outdoors. After being stuck inside in this horribly cold winter, it was a treat for me.

So as my Thursday begins, I am reflecting on these last couple of days and realizing how fortunate I am. Whether or not you are religious or spiritual doesn’t matter. There are many in this world, and even in our own families and neighborhoods, that have it worse.

A dear friend was recently diagnosed with a certain Stage 4 cancer, and when I asked how I could help her with being ill, she stated “I am not ill. I am inconvenienced.” That has resonated. She is one of the most caring and giving individuals I have ever known. Full of spunk and life, she doesn’t deserve the hand that life has recently dealt. And yet she continues to persevere with her life, businesses and grandchildren while considering this an “inconvenience”.

So I won’t fuss about the lack of good customer service I recently experienced at a local grocery store, or the fact that carelessness caused me to fall yesterday and bang up my knees. I won’t fuss about my high utility bill because of this cold winter. Nope.

Today I say “thank you Universe for having my back”! And thank you Sylvia for teaching me that mantra. And thank you for my children and for my family and friends. Thank you for the successful business I am enjoying.

And hopefully you aren’t suffering from cancer or an illness that has “inconvenienced” you, but if you are, The Green Kitchen would love to help you with those issues. We deliver healthy and delicious ready–meals that you only have to answer the door and receive. Reach out and let us see if we can work together.
